Bierhalter is an active direct importer from China for more than five decades. From our own selection plants and reliable suppliers hog casings are imported today from all important Chinese provinces. In Germany Bierhalter operates in their own collection plants.

Origins and characteristics

Germany - Europe
During slaughtering approx. 80% of the casings are collected. Depending on the selection plant, the product is long stranded and high in quality. The optimal collection guarantees very nice, tender goods of light color and with few whiskers. Especially the tenderness to the bite is distinctive for the German and European hog casing.

China
Our Chinese factories use the traditional methods, which guarantee a whisker free casing. Due to race and not standardized slaughtering weights, China is main supplier for narrow calibers. Also hog fatends and chitterlings are significant import items from China.
